I am writing this because I love movies, both classic and modern, and I want to help others enjoy them as much as I do. This is not a syllabus of “great” cinema; it is a guide for people looking for excellent movies that are actually worth watching today. If you’re after an easy way into classic films, controversial movies or cult classics, genre films, or just want to read a straightforward rant about a franchise gone wrong, you’re in the right place.
