I’m Jason, and this is where I think out loud.

I’ve been writing long-form analysis on this blog for over a decade. I covering tabletop RPGs, video games, sports, politics, spiritual matters, and whatever else has grabbed my attention.

I’m interested in how things work, why they work that way, and whether the conventional wisdom holds up under pressure.

On the TTRPG side, I write structural analysis and system criticism, as well as recommendations. I also offer paid structural audits for designers and GMs who want that analysis applied to their own work.

Elsewhere on the site you’ll find: episode-by-episode reviews of Star Trek: TNG, my favorite show of all time. I also write a bit about the NBA, football, video game retrospectives, political and social commentary, and the occasional rant.
